Why Bali Balm?

Its rich, intensive formula contains a nourishing blend of active botanicals that are rich in antioxidants and antibacterial properties. With flavours carefully curated in conjunction with London chef Russell Bateman, each balm has an alluring aroma and is silky smooth for irresistibly kissable lips. Moreover, Bali Balm employs environmentally friendly and sustainable practices, so you can feel safe in the knowledge that with each application you ‘Kiss the planet’.
Are Bali Balm products natural?
Yes. At Bali Balm, we are meticulous in selecting and sourcing our ingredients. We use only 100% natural products. While we make every effort to ensure that organic farming practices are maintained, we are aware of and transparent about the fact that sometimes this may not be possible. However, we strive to use only organic products whenever possible.
Are Bali Balm products vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes we are 100% beeswax free. No animal products or animal-derived products (such as beeswax, honey or lanolin) are used in Bali Balm products. Environmental issues are foremost on people’s minds, and by using ingredients not tested on animals or produced by animals, we can ensure that the production of our balm doesn’t negatively affect our fellow creatures, leaving nature to do things her way.
Is Bali Balm dermatologically tested?
Yes. All Bali Balm products have been tested by our team to ensure they meet the stringent standards set by certified dermatologists, pharmacists and by a licensed quality control department who found zero adverse effects from all cases during and after testing the product.
Does Bali Balm contain carcinogenic substances such as MOSH (mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons) or MOAH (mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons)?
No. Bali Balm products contain no artificial colouring, fragrances, preservatives or mineral oils such as MOSH or MOAH. Moreover, our ingredients are minimally processed in a manner that does not fundamentally alter the product.
Does Bali Balm contain an SPF?
There are numerous online articles and studies detailing the sun protection factor of natural oils, specifically coconut oil which is a key ingredient in our balms. We’ve created a product that moisturises, replenishes and nourishes your lips, but our goal wasn’t for our balm to be counted on as protection against the harmful rays of the sun. Therefore, we do not market our product in the sun protection range. Instead, we leave the decision to our customers to decide on Mother Nature’s ability to create a natural SPF
Why use a chef to create your botanical blends?
Because Bali Balm is committed to using only natural products, we did not want to create our formulas in a lab environment. Therefore, we opted to have each delectable flavour ‘cooked up’ in a kitchen by London chef Russell Bateman, who is renowned for his fresh, innovative cuisine.
Where can I obtain a full list of product ingredients?
Each Bali Balm product is labelled with a detailed ingredient list. You can also find full ingredient lists on the individual product pages on the website.
What are Bali Balm’s commitments to sustainability?
At Bali Balm, we believe that beauty shouldn’t cost the Earth. This is why we source only 100% natural ingredients that are readily replenished and non-harmful to our ecosystems and the environment. By creating a beeswax free lip balm we ensure that bees are left to do what they do best – pollinate the wonderfully varied vegetation that covers our planet.
We also ensure our products are ethically sourced by establishing and maintaining transparent relationships with the people we work with and providing a living income for them and their families. We take pride in contributing to the local economy in Bali.
What are Bali Balm’s recycling practices?
Each tube of Bali Balm comes in a bespoke moulded box that can be re-used or recycled. Our boxes are so beautiful that we suggest you keep them and find a second use for them yourself, they last long after the balm itself has finished. They make a great cufflink or earring box and we’d encourage you to ‘Kiss the Planet’ by re-using them over and over
In addition, we also include a pre-paid envelope in each order so that you can send the empty Bali Balm tube and cap back to us for recycling. In doing this, it is our goal to ensure that zero Bali Balm tubes end up in landfills or the oceans.
What is the shipping process for my order?
Our packages are dispatched free of charge via Royal Mail and should arrive at your door within two working days (Monday – Friday excluding public holidays) of the date you placed your order. The packages are small enough to fit in a mailbox or through a mail slot, so there should be no need to queue at your local post office in the event that you are not home when your order arrives.

How has the volcanic situation affected Bali Balm?
As you may have seen in the media, the November 2017 eruption of Mount Agung has caused disruption on the island of Bali. The temporary airport closure did cause us delays, and we apologise for this. Please be aware that there may be a slight delay in your order depending on how the ash clouds affect export from Bali.
More importantly, thousands of Balinese people have been displaced from their homes and are unable to return until the volcano stabilises. Thousands more are struggling to make ends meet due to the drastic reduction in tourism. We will be making donations to help those affected by the volcano and will continue to do everything we can to support the island, its people and its economy.
